VW T4 Caravelle Camper Van in Kidlington, Buckinghamshire for sale
Hi. Our much loved VW T4 Caravelle camper van is for sale. Owned for over 3 years, it's been 100% reliable and had some great trips away in it. Now selling to make room for something 4 berth. It was owned as a 7 seat car by the same owner since virtually new, before we bought it semi-converted. We added the electrical system, fridge and TV/DVD, amongst other things. We have maintained this van regardless of cost. It may have over 200,000 on the clock but it has been very well looked after. Being based on a Caravelle, it already had factory electric windows and mirrors, carpet in the cab, privacy glass all round and better trim panels inside. MOT July 2016 2.4 5 cylinder diesel, non-ECU (mechanical injection etc) - not quick but very reliable plodder, 70-80 on motorway is comfortable Specialist rebuilt gearbox two years back 4 Brand new tyres, genuine VW/Audi 17" allows with locking nuts Stainless exhaust system (not for performance reasons) Recent service with local T4 specialists Slightly lowered with suitable CMC front and rear shocks and heavy duty rear springs Both front captains seats swivel Rock and roll bed, matching black and white seat covers front and rear (fronts have black protective covers, seats underneath are in good shape) VanX curtains and Just Kampers front screens - total blackout Aluminum roof rails. Depending on the sale amount the van reaches, we may be able to include the Thule crossbars and storage box (good for storing the awning etc) Storage space under bed Various cabinets Under-seat safe Waeco 12v fridge 240v microwave Inverter CBE split charge 240v/12v system with leisure battery Awning rail Alpine stereo (CD/Tuner/iPod/MP3) Focal underseat compact sub and capacitor Alpine/Pioneer/Fli speakers Alpine flip-down TV/DVD Freeview tuner and antenna The only things that will may need attention (we planned to do but didn't get to it in the end): Front headlining sagging and needs re-fixing (it's pretty easy to get the front headlining out completely to do this. Wheel arches showing signs of corrosion. Some faded paint and a few small dings here and there. Had planned to spray in a similar VW metallic red. The sliding door panel needs recovering. None of these are major issues and the van is ready to use regardless. It's in really great shape for it's age... It's being professionally valeted this week as well.
